I can’t believe I am already half way done – hopefully the second half goes as quick as the first. I have a feeling it will, considering all the big plans we have coming up, in addition to two of my best friends having babies between now and then!
The most exciting new addition in the last week is feeling baby kick! It is officially the best feeling in the world knowing that baby is in there kicking up a storm. Babies kicks are still small but every now and then they put all their strength in it and luckily Josh has been around during those times! He got to feel baby last Wednesday and I could tell it made daddy happy 🙂
I still don’t feel 20 weeks pregnant. I’m assuming because I am so tall that the baby is just standing up in my belly and that is why the belly isn’t popping. I am definitely gaining weight so that isn’t the problem – I just have no idea where the weight is going!
Next week we are jumping on a plane to the Caribbean and spending a week on a babymoon in the Bahamas and then a week cruise around the Caribbean. I didn’t think about fitting into my bathing suits and recently when I tried them on I could only laugh at how inappropriately small the tops were thanks to the hormones. I plan on picking up a larger top to wear on vacation for the next few weeks. I can’t wait for some sunshine after this crazy snow mess in Indiana!

Best moment of the week: Josh being able to feel the kicks. They are still small and not consistent, but knowing Josh has felt a few makes me so happy that we can share that!
Obsessions/Cravings? It was a one day craving and quickly satisfied by Hot Box Pizza Breadsticks. If you went to Indiana University (or live in an area that has Pizza Express or Hot Box Pizza) you will understand when I say their breadsticks dipped in ranch are addicting. We went out to get our car an oil change, and as we were driving home we quickly pulled over and got an order to go! Best decision of the week!
What I’m most looking forward to this week: The Anatomy Scan! We have the big 20 week ultrasound coming up in a few days and I am so excited/slightly nervous to get that behind me. I can’t wait to see Baby E again and hear that beautiful heartbeat.
I obviously am praying all the measurements are on track and everything looks and sounds good tomorrow! We are keeping the gender a surprise so hopefully we don’t accidentally see any body parts that we shouldn’t!
What I miss the most: Coffee… Wine.. it hit me this week, I have gone 5 months with no coffee and no wine… I miss starting the day with a big cup of Josh’s coffee and ending the day with a glass of red!
Workouts: Still running 2 – 3 times a week (slow ish), walking 2 ish times a week and doing weights the other nights. After vacation we are planning on doing our P90x again – and I plan on regressing it to a Pregnancy style P90x. For those of you who are interested I’ll post about how I changed the exercises to make it safe for preggos in their 2nd trimester!
Sleep: Baby starts kicking around 12:30 – 1 am… I have to pee on schedule between 2 – 2:30 AM and baby starts moving again around 5:30 AM – that is pretty much my sleep schedule.
Movement: The kicks are getting stronger and more often. While last week it was maybe every other day and only at night or in the morning. Now, I’ll feel baby move pretty much all day while I am sitting at my desk in addition to nights and mornings.
Symptoms: My headaches have subsided for now which is a huge relief. I was having them every few days before, and now it’s been a few weeks since my last one!
